Growing up, my favourite hobby was gaming. Whether it was playing board games or video games, by myself or with my friends, nothing has quite grabbed my attention as much as games. I love the joy and entertainment they bring. From video games in particular, I quite enjoy the stories and art designs. That love has led to the development of other hobbies as well. Writing, drawing, and going for long walks for inspiration. And hopefully, one day it will lead to a career.
In the hopes of achieving that goal, I have taken courses to learn about media arts and later videogame art, specifically. During those times, I have done freelance graphic design jobs. Many of which I was paid for, some I did pro bono, and others were just for fun. I've even done graphic work for my gaming group that I would play “Final Fantasy 14” with. We put on all kinds of events for other players with prizes, and I would be asked to do all the graphic work for these events. Truly, I had more fun doing things like that than playing the game itself.
Unfortunately, nearing my 18th birthday, I began going deaf, and this has caused some difficulties in my life. However, this has not stopped me from doing the things I love most, and although conversations with me can sometimes take a little longer, I still enjoy discussing and joking around with others. I can still even fully enjoy music.
My long-term dream and goal would be to turn my talents into making games myself. I have accumulated idea after idea for all sorts of indie games that I one day hope to entertain the world with. All it takes is one first step!
